ABOUT KULJIC DDS & TEAM

A Different Philosophy of Dentistry

Looking beyond teeth to understand how oral health connects to breathing, function, comfort, and the entire body.

At Kuljic DDS & Team, dentistry is not only about repairing teeth. It is about understanding why problems develop, how different systems work together, and what kind of care will support your long-term health and quality of life.

More Than Dentistry - A Whole-Body Approach

We believe dentistry should do more than repair teeth. It should help uncover the underlying causes of dysfunction and support long-term health.

A whole-body approach means looking at how the teeth, bite, jaw joints, airway, muscles, and surrounding structures work together. Many dental problems are not isolated: they connect to airway restriction, bite imbalance, muscle tension, and structural issues that build over time.

Our role is to understand those connections and treat them thoughtfully.

Why Our Approach Is Different

Care Designed Around Causes, Not Just Symptoms

Traditional dentistry often focuses on treating what is visible: fixing what is broken, filling what is decayed, or restoring what has worn down. These treatments are often necessary, but they do not address why problems occur in the first place

Our approach is centered on understanding the deeper factors behind dental breakdown, discomfort, and dysfunction, so treatment is planned with precision and long-term stability.

When we understand the cause, we can plan treatment that supports long-term health, not just short-term repair.

Identifying Root Causes

We look past the damage to what's driving it: bite imbalance, airway restriction, muscle tension, or structural changes.

Preserving Natural Tooth Structure

Whenever possible, we take a conservative approach that protects healthy tooth structure and avoids unnecessary treatment.

Creating Stability That Lasts

Treatment is planned with the goal of supporting a stable bite, comfortable function, and results that hold up over time.

Supporting Overall Health Through Function

We evaluate each patient as a whole, not just a set of teeth, because proper function supports comfort, breathing, and long-term well-being.

OUR METHOD

The Kuljic Total Health Dentistry Approach

Our approach is guided by the idea that lasting dental health depends on more than the condition of individual teeth.

We evaluate how breathing, structure, muscles, bite, and aesthetics work together, so treatment can be planned with greater clarity and purpose.

Airway & Breathing

Healthy breathing supports sleep, development, posture, and overall function. We look for signs that airway restriction or breathing patterns affect oral health and long-term stability.

Structural Alignment

The position of the teeth, jaws, and facial structures can influence comfort, chewing, wear, and balance. We evaluate alignment as part of a larger functional system.

Neuromuscular Harmony

Muscles, joints, and bite forces all work together. When they are not in balance, the body compensates with tension, discomfort, clenching, tooth wear, or jaw-related symptoms.

Preventive Diagnostics

Careful diagnosis helps us detect problems early and understand what is contributing to them before they become more complex.

Aesthetic Function

A healthy smile should look natural, feel comfortable, and function well. We consider aesthetics as part of a stable, balanced, long-term treatment plan.

Founder & Clinical Lead

Meet Dr. Kuljic

Dr. Bozidar "Bole" Kuljic has spent more than three decades learning how to rebuild teeth at the highest level, as a mentor and clinical instructor at the Kois Center, one of the most respected restorative programs in American dentistry.

But the longer he rebuilt teeth, the more one question followed him: why did some restorations fail while others lasted? The answer kept pointing past the teeth, to the bite, the jaw, and the airway. Orthodontic training in 2004 and an airway residency in 2017 completed the picture. In 2023, he published a 14-year case study in Compendium documenting how sleep-disordered breathing undermines even excellent dental work.

That's the dentistry practiced here: rebuild it well, and understand why it broke, so it doesn't break again.
